bfu-Forum 2008 / ETSC-Lecture «Speed»

Thursday, 25th September 2008

Stade de Suisse, Bern

One of the most common causes of road traffic accidents is speeding. This year’s conference

deals with the most important facts and questions relating to the topic of «speed»

from a general, technical and psychological perspective. We are pleased to announce

Raphael D. Huguenin, Deputy Director of bfu, as speaker. He is an exceptionally skilled and

experienced specialist in the area of transport safety and for more than 35 years has been

engaged with issues of road accident prevention.

Subsequent to the main presentation, two esteemed guests from abroad will put the

following issues under the microscope: «Why do drivers speed?» (Steve Stradling) and

«Main technical measures to reduce speed» (Klaus Machata). This will be followed by discussion with participants.
